Dr. Sevinc RendeBiography
Dr. Rende combines academic research and teaching on gender and social policy with broad practical field experience in international development. From 2006 to 2019, she taught courses on Gender, Labor Markets, Econometrics, International Development, and the political economy of the Middle East. While teaching and publishing, her research focused on social policy, gender equality, labor markets and ethnic conflicts. In 2007 she began consulting for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), serving as policy advisor consultant for poverty reduction until 2018. While serving as a consultant, Dr Rende worked closely with local, national and regional teams in Eastern Europe, Central Asia, Southeast Asia, and in the Middle East. Dr Rende evaluated programs on refugee integration for the ILO in 2019 and 2020 in Turkey. She continues to regularly consult for national and international development agencies.
