Prof. Oded HaklaiBiography
Oded Haklai is a Professor in the Department of Political Studies at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario. He completed his PhD at the University of Toronto in 2004. Haklai has published several books on Israel, Israeli-Palestinian relations, and ethnic conflict in the Middle East and beyond. His 2011 book, entitled Palestinian ethnonationalism in Israel was recipient of the Shapiro Award. It alyzes transformations in the political mobilization of the Arab minority in Israel. His later works have looked at policies of population settlements in contested territories, including in the co-edited comparative book Settlers in Contested Lands: Territorial Disputes and Ethnic Conflicts, published in 2015 by Stanford university Press.
