Prof. Mahdi Majbouri
Biography

Mahdi Majbouri is an Associate Professor of economics at Babson College. He received his Ph.D. from University of Southern California and has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from Sharif University of Technology in Tehran. His expertise is in the microeconomics of developing countries particularly labor markets and gender issues in the Middle East and North Africa, as well as the economics of oil. He is a Research Fellow at the Institute of Labor Economics (IZA) and at the Economic Research Forum. He is also the Treasurer for Middle East Economic Association and the Technical Director of Global Entrepreneurship Monitor, Team USA. His past research has been published in Feminist Economics, Applied Economics, Energy Policy, The Quarterly Review of Economics and Fince, and The Jourl of Real Estate Economics
