Biography

Bashar H. Malkawi is Dean and Professor of Law at the University of Sharjah, where he currently teaches international trade law, Islamic finance, and business law. He received his S.J.D from American University, Washington College of Law, and LLM in International Trade Law from the University of Arizona. Prof. Malkawi previously taught at universities in Jordan, UAE, Italy, and United States. He spent two years as Assistant Dean at Hashemite University's Faculty of Economics and as Associate Dean for Graduate programs at University of Sharjah College of Law.
