Dr. Alise Coen

Dr. Alise Coen is Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. Her research interests include refugees, human rights, global governance, identity, and U.S. foreign policy towards the Middle East. Her work has appeared in journals such as Ethics & International Affairs, Politics & Religion, and The International Journal of Human Rights. She is currently working on a book project about U.S. refugee responsibility-sharing in the wake of the Syrian conflict and 2016 elections. While earning her graduate degree, Dr. Coen conducted field research in Egypt and worked with the State Department's Middle East Partnership Initiative Student Leaders Program.
